Scout alarm has been in the market for a long time and is a great DIY system.
This is a very simple system that costs $10 a month to self monitor.  If you pay 25 month you have someone else monitor your system.
I paid 400 for this kit with some extra pieces and do not need it because the house we are moving to has a system.
All of the sensors and the main door terminal box will show a little wear because of a butter knife popping the covers off.  About once every couple of months the batteries will need to be recharged on the sensors.  The scout app will tell you the battery life on the sensors.
I bought a large CR132A battery kit on Pricetronic with
recharger for cheap.  The batteries I had are too worn to sell.
